French admin vocabulary, what deadlines actually mean, and the three things to check before you do anything.

Luxembourg runs on paper. Sooner or later a crisp envelope with your commune's crest lands in your mailbox, full of French you never learned. Here's how to read it without stress.
The header tells you the sender (Administration communale + your commune) and usually a reference line (Concerne / Objet). That one line is the whole story: tax bill, registration reminder, waste collection, voting registration.
Scan for dates and words like avant le (before), délai (deadline) and à partir du (starting from). Luxembourg deadlines are real — miss a registration window and you queue all over again.
Look for munissez-vous de (bring along), prière de verser (please pay) and an IBAN or payment slip. Never pay from a letter you don't understand — verify first.
Snap a photo of any letter in the app. Your Companion explains it in plain English, adds the deadline to your plan and drafts the reply. Try it with your next envelope.
Moienapp turns this guide into steps with your commune, your documents and reminders before each deadline.
